Emma’s Jewellery Story

For almost two decades, Emma Rea earned her stripes as a skilled artist and designer, working in the global fashion industry and creating items that people loved to wear.

Always eager to learn new art and design skills, when the COVID-19 pandemic struck in 2020, Emma saw it as an opportunity. This was a chance to sidestep into a new creative pursuit.

Emma began to learn the art of goldsmithing. Immediately, she was enthralled by the scope for intricate designs and meaningful jewellery pieces.

Before long, Emma sensed a calling. She envisioned dramatic, gothic jewellery pieces that drew inspiration from mythology, history, and folklore. She dreamed of creating jewellery that would represent the wearer’s soul. Emma Rea Jewellery was born.

Today, Emma works to create delicate and expressive handmade jewellery items in her Melbourne (Naarm) studio, on Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung and Bunurong country.
